Matched sextets and octets are available as well.The new 6V6-S vacuum tube from JJ is rock solid and sounds great. Like the EH 6V6, it can withstand higher plate voltages making it a great choice in many tube amps.
They do clean with smooth clear high end. On the other end of the spectrum big fat bass notes that are well defined having a piano like quality are produced. Crank up the gain and you will get everything from a nice crunch to all out screaming distortion. And not just mush, but a very controllable, musical distortion. A well tuned amp running the JJ 6V6-S power tubes and getting a good strong signal from your guitar may make you want to cash in your old TS808. One rig that was used as a tester consisted of a 66 Deluxe Reverb fitted with a Celestion Vintage 30. The JJ's were put in with a plate voltage of 440 volts and biased at about 80% of their rated output. This would kill many 6V6 tubes (and had in the past). A current production Les Paul Standard was plugged in and the resulting sound could only be described as "crazy". Just about any genre of music from blues, jazz to classic rock was obtained. If you receive a tube that does not perform to the manufacturer's specifications, please do the following:
- contact us to get a return authorization
- return it via regular mail within 90 days from when we shipped it, and we will provide an exchange or refund of the full purchase price of the tube.
Returns not related to warranty or defect will be considered at our discretion, and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
We can not accept returns that don't have an authorization, are past 3 month, or are returned improperly.

Perfect For My Fender Super Champ!

I wanted to try these in my Super Champ as a replacement for the Groove Tubes 6V6 GT's that it shipped with, primarily for the durability they seem to be known for. Wow, what a surprise to hear the new sound - much warmer and "full bodied". Much more low end. I like them so much, I just bought spares :-)
These are cool

This is a great 6V6 variant, and it is a little different which is great, and needed in an environment with so little choices (although that's getting better slowly its still a problem. We spend a lot of money on tubes. A little more R&D would be appreciated). This is a high rated tube, that reminds me of a Westinghouse 7591. Those have a following for sure. JJ should have designated this the JJ 7591. For new production 6V6 I only buy this one, the Electro Harmonix 6V6GT and the TAD 6V6GT. There are some others by new Sensor that are good but not really worth the upcharge. The rest of the Chinese 6V6 stuff is garbage.

Ever since I switched to JJs about 3 years ago, my problems with tubes have basically ended. The ability of JJs to stand up under trying conditions (such as the above-spec plate voltages in a 22-watt Deluxe) is a key point for me. I use these in all my builds and repairs when 6V6s are required. TubeStore's service is always prompt and professional.
Reliable

Sound great in my egnater 15w. Reliable and I've never had a problem with the JJ 6v6-S. I believe a portion of this reliability is due to thetubestore for great matching and whatever testing/screening gets done. Cranked the tone is crazy good. Well worth the price of admission,
Great in DRRI

Having tested the EH, Tung-Sol and JJ 6V6 tubes in my DRRI, I have settled on the JJ 6V6S. Big and clear, but retaining that 6V6 warmth. Great natural overdrive, nice and crunchy. Also, these tubes are GREAT with effects, letting the pedal's sound come through without turning into mush. For the Blackface sound, these are it. Deduct half a star for some mechanical noise (Which was cured by swapping the position), but otherwise, a great update to the classic 6V6 tube. Tube store matching and service was superb.
