Tung-Sol EL34B Power Vacuum Tube (Matched)
From our review, "When driven into distortion it starts off a bit crunchy like a 6L6 but as you push it, the sound blooms into that singing EL34 vacuum tube tone with great sustain and modest compression." From the manufacturer: "The Tungsol EL34-B is a higher impedance EL34 tube design with increased touch responsiveness and a unique clipping characteristic with a hint of the 6L6 sound."
The Tung-Sol name and trademark have been acquired by the New Sensor Corporation. This new production Tungsol tube is manufactured at their Xpo-Pul factory (also known as Reflektor) in Saratov, Russia. New Sensor is an American corporation and since taking ownership of this factory has been steadily improving the quality of current production tubes.

Sweet tubes
by Bruce -
Retubed my Hiwatt DR504. Had the EH tubes an amp tech put in there when I had the caps changed. That was about ten or so years ago. One of them was acting up so I changed them both out. I let them cook for a couple of hours before playing. Hiwatt’s always better warm. I was stunned. Absolutely beautiful. Never used a pedal. Just played that old Britt amp clean. Very nice tubes.
May Favorite EL34 for Marshalls
by Jim
I put these tubes in all my vintage Marshalls. They give a more detailed high-end than any other tube I've tried (Winged C's, JJ's, Svetlanas). Reliability has been great. Highly recommend.
Just buy them

Replaced some JJ KT77's with these in a Yaqin amp. Better in every way. More three dimensional soundstage, way better vocal quality. These are brighter and clearer all the way around.

Best new (after 1990) production EL-34 I have used
by Sean
I have been building tube amps since the 1980s for hi-fi and guitar. I still have a nice stash of US and Euro made NOS tubes. These are the first new production (China, Russia, East Euro) made tubes I have used that actually can hang with the originals. I love these tubes. They are excellent. If you are looking for EL34s, you should definitely give these a try.
