Super value and sound

Musical, enjoyable tube. Great starting place for Woo Audio 2. Far better than JAN-Philips 6922 or Genalex in my view. If you want better sound but can pay more then opt for the Sylvania 7308.
I have the Sylvania 7308 and with my equipment these JJ E88CC tubes sound better. These tubes are smoother, tonally correct and quieter than the Sylvania. I am using this tube in a Valhalla Headphone amp with Beyerdynamic T-90. Nordost cables.
Excellent tube , a bargain .

I had 2 expensive NOS tubes I got on Ebay in my Unico CD player. I bought a pair of these tubes and it transformed the sound - improved bass, cleaner mids and highs. Very lucid and lifelike and more micro detail. A bargain at the price. I opted for the matched option also.
Clean & Clear
I replaced the Electro Harmonix 6922 tube in my Rode NTK with this JJ Gold Pin 6922. The midrange is more present in the JJ, the highs are a little more alive, and the bass isn't as tubby as the EH. I felt like the EH would be good for a quieter intimate vocal performance, but the JJ would be more of a versatile sound. Both the EH6922 and the JJ Gold are nice sounding tubes, it will be nice to have them both around as they seem to be two sides of the same coin.

I already have the regular JJ E88CC tube and decided to get the Gold (with balanced triodes) version and it is a pretty substantial upgrade. Well worth the price difference.
