"The JJ KT88 tube has the best imaging of all the tubes in this category. The bass is unique in that it compresses the very bottom end. This provides incredible bass response without ever losing control. Overall a great KT88 tube for orchestral, opera, and jazz music."

I can only give these tubes a ten because the scale does not allow for more. If it did I would rate them much higher. The description of these tubes is accurate! Vocals are liquid and palpably present. Excellent detail and very transparent but never harsh. Dynamic and engaging. The sound stage is excellent however the perspective is of being in one of front 3 rows, centre position. If the associated components are up to the task these will produce very good results. If the results are not as described look elsewhere in your system for deficiencies.

There's nothing bad to say about these tubes. They have an organic punchy tone in my bass amp. Not edgy at all.
Great Tubes and value for money

I have been running 2 of these JJ's in my home built S.E.T amp (9 Watts) . They sound wonderful, I bought from the Tube Store some years ago. They sound great with 5" full range folded horns and on the old Wharfdale 9.6's (4 way I think). Definitely my best KT 88's without spending $100's per tube
