The Electro-Harmonix 12AU7A / ECC82 Gold vacuum tubes are a gold-plated pin version of their very popular preamp tube. It is a premium quality 12AU7 tube built to match the performance of the military-industrial original GE 6189 tube. Low microphonics and excellent linearity offer a musical and harmonic soundstage, making this 12AU7 tube equal to the original and a cut above the competition.

The 12AU7 tube type is equivalent to the European ECC82 tube and can be used in any 12AU7 or ECC82 circuit.

Warranty Information and Return Policy

Warranty Period: 3 months

All our tubes are guaranteed for 3 months from the date of purchase. (Any exceptions will be noted on that tube's Warranty tab)

If you receive a tube that does not perform to the manufacturer's specifications, please do the following:

- contact us to get a return authorization
- return it via regular mail within 90 days from when we shipped it, and we will provide an exchange or refund of the full purchase price of the tube.

Returns not related to warranty or defect will be considered at our discretion, and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

We can not accept returns that don't have an authorization, are past 3 month, or are returned improperly.

These guidelines may be updated without notice.

Electro-Harmonix 12AU7A / ECC82EH Gold | Good price for a nice tube.

Just put these EH-12AU7G into my Copland CTA 301 and wow they're fantastic. I could not be happier. Perhaps there are better tubes out there but these guys sound great.

Electro-Harmonix 12AU7A / ECC82EH Gold | Wow! What a difference this tube makes.

Purchased this EH-12AU7G tube for the Bravo Ocean amp. It is a great match for this little amp which I use with Sony MDR-V6 headphones. I listen to predominately, classical music. I purchased the Genalex - Gold Lion ECC82 a few years ago which was a big improvement over the originally installed tube. However, the Electro-Harmonix is a great match with this amp. Silky smooth strings, piano tones have the higher harmonics and overall the sound is richer than with the the Genalex. Thanks to the previous reviewer for posting their review which led to this purchase. Great investment!

Sounds great with my headphone amp

I recently purchased a Bravo Audio Ocean headphone amp, which came with a Shu Guang 12AU7 tube. It sounded fine, but I was shocked at how much the EH Gold 12AU7 tube improved the sound coming out of the amp. Before it was a bit muddy, but now it has a clear, warm tone.

Rogue Atlas Magnum tube rolling

I'm tube rolling different tubes in my Rogue Atlas Magnum. I'll keep this short: this is my favorite tube in the 12AU7 position. It is musical!

The other 12AU7 I like is the JJ 12AU7 Gold = cleaner with voices but not as musical.
