Old school metal sound.

I was not entirely impressed. These tubes are good for a older style metal sound but not necessarily for the modern tones I was seeking. Where as my old ruby power and preamp tubes made my amp chug and thump, these electro harmonics with the jj power amps smoothed everything out a lil too much and took away some of the mojo. Kept the v3 v4 v5 electro harmonics in... and replaced the v1 v2 with ruby ecc83 and ruby 6l6s in the power amp section. The tubestore was fast with shipping and the quality of the tubes were great. Just not to my liking.

I have the 6505+ 112 Combo and it was desperately in need of new tubes. This upgrade was well worth the money. My tone is heavier than before, and there is a nice mid range bite going on. They shipped pretty quick and arrived undamaged. I will definitely order from this website again, www.thetubestore.com, you guys rule. \m/
