The Sovtek 5AR4 rectifier tube (also known as a GZ34) is our most popular. This 5AR4/GZ34 vacuum tube is robust and works great in many different guitar amps such as Vox and Fender amps, but also vintage hifi like Dynaco and Scott.

Works fine for my EL84PP Amp. And superfast delivery.

Reliability issues

I'm kind of an NOS guy although less so these days. On rectifier tubes I'm more concerned with longevity and reliability than the small difference in sound/feel that I notice. I have put two of these in my Dr Z MAZ 18. Both lasted about six months. I don't know if this amp is hard on them or this is indicative of current manufacture longevity for 5AR4's but I won't buy again. I'll try another current brand and see what happens. It's getting old.

After using this for awhile in my '68 Custom Fender Princeton, I'm afraid to try anything else. It keeps putting out a good tone day after day. 'Nothing fancy, no vintage sag going on. Your guitar amp sounds the way it was designed to sound. 'recommended!'

Standard Stock for many guitar amps.... I can see why.

This tube is reliable.... it works well and is noted for being rugged. No complaints.
