Shuguang 12AX7B Vacuum Tube Preamp Vacuum Tube
The Chinese (Sino) made Shuguang 12AX7B vacuum tube is a popular choice for high gain guitar amps.
The 12AX7-B preamp tube has a little more drive and lower noise than the discontinued Shuguang 12AX7A vacuum tube. The Shuguang 12AX7-A has not been produced since 2019.

If you receive a tube that does not perform to the manufacturer's specifications, please do the following:
- contact us to get a return authorization
- return it via regular mail within 90 days from when we shipped it, and we will provide an exchange or refund of the full purchase price of the tube.
Returns not related to warranty or defect will be considered at our discretion, and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
We can not accept returns that don't have an authorization, are past 3 month, or are returned improperly.

In the right place it can be great

In a dark amp in V2 it can make a huge difference. Trying everything I had which all sounded good but always went back to this one. Came stock in my Blues breaker which got a full rebuild to a 59 slp 87x JTM 45 with a flick of a switch. It has that just can't stop playing tone now. Love the Tung KT66 in it also. They can be very hit and miss, good ones test off the chart.
Ideal for someone, just not me.

Sound all right, too much gain for my pre-amp/effects processor....just means it's more finicky and can't be opened up without the tone and clarity take a dump....it will serve ok as an emergency backup, but I definitely couldn't see running it long-term. Would be ideal for an application where high gain is desirable.
