Serious upgrade in tone

I ordered and installed this set in a Laney Cub 10 amp that I bought used for $125. So the tube kit cost more than the amp, but it was worth it. Really smoothed out the transients while offering more note definition. I can't say how the overall power output was affected because at the same time I installed the tubes, I installed an Eminence Ragin Cajun 10 speaker. The latter was more efficient than the stock Laney 10, so the loudness nearly doubled, to my ears. The light and nimble Laney Cub 10 could easily be mistaken for a small boutique amp now. Other guitarists come up at gigs and are incredulous that I'm playing through such a small amp with only vol, gain and tone knobs.
