Note: The Electro Harmonix 7868 tubes have pins that are a slightly larger diameter than USA made 7868 tubes. This will make them a very snug fit, but they will insert into old sockets. Using a gentle rocking motion as you insert them will ease the installation.

Electro-Harminix 7868EH, Affordabilty with Great Performance!!!
by Nathan -
These tubes sound just AMAZING as the original production tubes. I have two fully restored Bogan CH35B's, of which takes two of the 7868 tubes each. I have one with original RCA 7868's and the other with the new Electro-Harminix 7868EH's for a side by side comparison. They sound just as great as the oringal 7868's. The 7868 tubes seem to have that special full tube sound, with deep, punchy bass. Defined midrange and crystal clear hi's. They are worth every penny.
One thing to keep in mind with the Electro-Harminix 7868EH's is that the pins are bigger than the original tubes. Great care needs to be taken when installing these for the first time. With the great customer serivice and advice of the TheTubeStore.com, I keep mine about an eighth of an inch from fully seated in the sockets. This approach seems to work out pretty well for my needs.
