Ampohm Paper in Wax, Aluminium Foil Capacitor 0.68uF / 630V
Ampohm was a respected UK manufacturer of boutique audio capacitors, best known for its hand-built paper-in-oil and paper-in-wax capacitors. Ampohm caps earned a reputation for natural tonal balance, smooth treble, rich midrange reproduction, and excellent craftsmanship. These traits are why they are used in tube amplifiers and high-end loudspeaker crossovers.
These deeply discounted prices make it the clear choice over other PIO and PIW capacitors made today.
Ampohm paper in wax (PIW), capacitors are hand wound using high purity aluminium foil. They are wax impregnated before being assembled. The capacitors are then hermetically sealed in an aluminium housing with phenolic resin and rubber end discs. Each lead is hand solder sealed to the eyelets in the end discs. The leads are 1.0mm in diameter and made of tinned copper.
All Ampohm Audio Capacitors were made in the United Kingdom and individually hand tested.
Ampohm Paper in Wax, Aluminium Foil capacitor, rated 0.68µF to a maximum of 630 volts, 85°C.
