Winged "C" (SED) 6L6GC
We have discovered limited stock of these coveted NOS tubes. The highly regarded Winged "C" 6L6GC was once considered the best of the best until the factory closed down. We scoured the globe but since our last tube sold 2017 we have been out of stock, until now. Due to popularity we don't expect these to last long so get yours before they are gone.
SED Factory Closure- Production of the SED Winged “C” tubes has come to an end. We have purchased as much stock as available from them that was not factory seconds. We were offered factory seconds at a lower cost however we declined. We do know these factory seconds have entered the marketplace so buyer beware.
Stock is limited and our price has been raised to reflect the higher purchase cost of this final product. SED Winged "C" tubes should now be considered NOS (New Old Stock).
From our review of the Winged "C" 6L6GC tube: "This may be the closest thing available if you really want the vintage sound of the large bottle Sylvania and RCA tubes of yesterday. Tremendous harmonic content and an overall depth in sound make these another excellent choice for the purist. They can handle solid plate voltages and are very well constructed. Consider these 6L6 tubes as an excellent choice for any type of music, delivering crystal cleans and smooth breakup with plenty of punch."
Unequaled clarity and complex harmonics, plenty of sustain and depth.

I have an Egnater Vengeance amp, B52 AT100 amp, and a Peavey JSX.All 3 are really good amps. But I wanted to try and bring out more harmonic content if at all possible. The Eggy and B52 use 6L6 power tubes and the JSX came with EL34's, but it's capable of using 6L6's as well.I did my homework and the SED C sounded like they were very capable of bringing in richer harmonic content. Yes, they are quite pricey for modern tubes, but once I installed them I was pleasantly amazed at how much more tone these tubes can put out. With most modern high gain amps, like the ones I have, most of the tone is generated by the pre tubes as that is how they are designed. Some say that with these modern pre tube tone amps the power tubes don't make much difference. Well, I can easily tell you that that is not true, and I have 3 modern high gain amps to prove it. I've tried the SED tubes in all 3 amps and in each one of them the tone became richer, with greater harmonic content that is very sweet and creamy.I've since sold the B52 amp and just ordered a new Bugera TriRec Infinium. The Infinium circuit is really cool as it will auto bias each tube individually, and that means I can use any tube of different brand and type as long as they fit he 6L6 type socket. The circuit will auto bias each tube! I can run a 6L6, 5881, EL34, or KT88 or any combination of them and the amp will still work.I'll be getting more of these SED C tubes. The bigger cost is worth the money. You'll spend more but you'll also get more.LOVE these tubes!

I put em in my mesa simul-class 2:90. They brought a roar out of it that is amazing! These tubes are worth every penny. Get em if you can.

Have been operating this tube exclusively for a little more than 10 years in two HRDs, with an average life-span of 4 years (per set), biased at 68-70. I have been completely impressed with this tube and am bummed that the factory has halted operations.

I honestly have to say that though I work on amps and change tubes often and in many I have never heard a difference like the one I heard when I replaced the Groove Tube 6L6's in my amp with these tubes. The amp is a pro built 5E5A Fender Tweed Pro and the sound it has now is something I had hoped for but never thought I would find. It has brought this amp to life! I find my other amps have no interest for me now, and even without anything but a reverb between it and my guitar is is phenomenal.I am sad that there won't be any more, but I will enjoy these for as long as I can. I hope someday you can hear the sound of a 5E5A with these tubes, or anything that may even be close, installed.
These are the only tubes I'll use in my 6L6 combo amps. GREAT!
