RFT ECC83 / 12AX7 Preamp Vacuum Tube
RFT is a German brand. The RFT ECC83 / 12AX7 is a durable tube with very low microphonics. The RFT ECC83 is well known as a fantastic hard rock "crunch" tube in Marshalls, Mesa-Boogies, and similar amps. They are slightly darker sounding than many other 12AX7/ECC83 tubes.
Our stock was received in bulk packs so we have packaged these ECC83 tubes in our own white boxes.

Great tube
by Douglas Robertson
My Rivera amps love these. It's like they were what the designers had in mind when building the amp. Fat, rich, and creamy without losing clarity. Not a dark tube but more a warm tube.
If you have an amp you like to push the power section on, put one of these in your phase inverter spot! Been tube-rolling for 30 years and these are some of the best I've used!
Made a great improvement....

I bought 3 of these for a Marshall 1959 Plexi Reissue.
I had 3 Tung-Sol 12AX7's in V1,V2,V3.
Decided to try out these RFT's and see if I liked them.
Replaced only the V1 position first and it made a GREAT difference.
(Left the Tung-Sol 12AX7's in the V2,V3 position.)
Didn't think changing one tube would make such an improvement.
Wish I found out about these earlier.
Spectacular tube

After reading so many positive reviews I bought 2. One for my Peavey 5150 with SED Winged C 6L6GC's & one for my JSX with SED Winged C EL34's. Both in V1 & made all the difference in the world. Such a well balanced tube & three-dimensional. I've only been able to set my guitars down long enough to order more since they've been installed. I never thought a preamp tube could make such a difference. 5 stars all the way around!!!!!!
Work with the Suhr Badger 35 with EL84s Power Tubes
by Paddy Mac
Ended up with all three preamp tubes being these RFT tubes. Mixing not recommended. Much better to go with all your preamp tubes the same when using these. These are quiet, solid, and work perfectly with the RFT power tubes. Really nice stuff. And ... I got a bad one, and the tube store replaced it no problem. nice ...
Perfect for JCM800
by Phillip
Perfect tube for my Marshall JCM1C (50th Anniversary) combo amp running a V10 Vintage speaker. The OEM tubes were OK but dull - I did some research and discovered that RFT valves were used back in the 80s for the JCM lineup. Well that research paid off and these are my exclusive tubes for this amp. They are a little dark, but it tames the highs without sounding like they roll off like the JJs. These also seem very durable. I can see these going up in price in years to come.
