This Preferred Series EL34 vacuum tube is a premium high quality tube produced for us in China by the Shuguang factory. We found the best of current production, sourced it to our specifications and gave it a 6 month extended warranty.

The Preferred Series EL34 construction features:
- Grey plate and single "disc" style getter
- Gold grid wires
- Copper grid posts
- A carbonized filament for more efficient thermal radiation
- Low noise filament
- The bottle is made with a heavy gauge glass
- And finally the blue color base is a nice touch too!

From our review: The bottom end is amazing and the tube has tons of gain before it gets dirty. The real strength of this tube is the bass and midrange. Bass notes are rock solid and the mids are very rich and complex. The high end is very good but not bright. This tube really wants to be in your JCM 800 or other amp that can generate piercing top end."

"The Preferred Series EL34's have an incredibly tight bass response, unparalleled clarity, and are very rich in harmonics. They are perfect for what I need out of my Diezel VH4 guitar amp. In combination with the Preferred Series 12AX7's, these tubes have brought my Diezel VH4 back to it's former glory. Many thanks to thetubestore.com!"

Stunning in a cranked Marshall

These are my new favourite by far. Had an older set of Mullards in my JCM800 2205 head and all I can say is wow. An improvement to say the least. Better clarity across all frequencies. And the highs are not harsh and grainy at all. It's like these tubes were made for a loud Marshall tube amp. They even handled a LP guitar tuned to BADGBE with stunning results. The mid range is perfect. Everyone in my band made a comment at our last jam, "wow", "it sounds huge", "it sounds whole" and a few more buzz words.... Thanks Tubestore. This tube is a home run for sure.

Wow! Incredible sounding high quality tubes!

They tubes are unbelievable. I heard they sounded great in a Bugera amp so put them in my 50 watt. Wow!!! I can't get my Marshall DSL100 to sound as good as this amp now. Both in clarity and high gain the amp just sounds amazing now.

The Cart and the Horse Strikes Again! [maybe]

@KW---- If your Boogie has any real age on it, AND the screen resistors were Carbon Comp type, it follows that it is more likely that the screen resistor failed taking the tube with it. Power amp valve theory 101.

Submitted with respect.

Nice. Really nice.

I read through most of the reviews here before I ordered a matched quartet (and a complete set of 12AX7's) for my JVM410H. I kept seeing the word "tight" mentioned and that's exactly the word that popped into my mind after I installed and biased the tubes (60mv for each pair). Tight, controlled low end and creamy highs. I liked these tubes right off the bat. I assume there will be a little bit of settling in over the next week or so but if they only get better from here, I'm giddy with delite. lol I'll do a some recording and see how the sound sits in the mix. Quick delivery. Well packaged. I like the website too.

Awesome

Awesome tube. I build JCM 800 clones. These tubes add a nice tight bottom end and have killer mids. I also use the 12ax7 preferred series. Great tubes.
