The Mullard name and trademark have been acquired by the New Sensor Corporation. This new production Mullard EL84 tube is manufactured at their Xpo-Pul factory (also known as Reflektor) in Saratov, Russia. New Sensor is an American corporation and since taking ownership of this factory has been steadily improving the quality of current production tubes.
Note: These tubes have a slightly larger diameter than other EL84 tubes so they can not be installed into some '90's era Marshall DSL201 or DSL401 amplifiers, some '90's era reissue Vox AC15 amps, and Bad Cat amps.

If you receive a tube that does not perform to the manufacturer's specifications, please do the following:
- contact us to get a return authorization
- return it via regular mail within 90 days from when we shipped it, and we will provide an exchange or refund of the full purchase price of the tube.
Returns not related to warranty or defect will be considered at our discretion, and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
We can not accept returns that don't have an authorization, are past 3 month, or are returned improperly.

Nice Power Tubes!

I put a matched set of 2 Mullard EL84s (rated at 47) in my Orange Dark Terror a month or so ago and they are very stable with a nice even tone. They are also very warm sounding with nice breakup when pushed. Great tubes!

I have tried JJ EL84 tubes, Sovtek EL84 tubes, Groove Tubes and many other brands and by far the reissue Mullard is the best EL84 I have used, great breakup, nice solid tone, and build.

I have a couple sets of NOS for my Vox AC30 CC, GZ34 rectifier tube. One is Raytheon the other RFT. I haven't used either yet, because these new production Mullard EL84 tubes sound fantastic!!! I've picked another set up for an extra backup. Amazing long lasting tubes!

I've been using orignal Mullard pre-amp tubes in my Fenders for years. Thought I would try these new Mullard spec EL84's for my Peavey Classic 20. Good decision! It moved a harsh scratchy overdriving amp with a few sweet spots into the creamy side of life, with a wide range of usable sweetness now. Yields sweet thick warm and tonally rich sustains, amazing with slide. P.S. Tubestore matching: superb!

I have been told that all the Russian EL84 / 7189 tube types are either surplus 60's era Russian Military or newly manufactured designs - except for this one. This tube (so I've heard) is based on a civilian tube that was intended for TV, radio and other audio use, with some engineering reworking by New Sensor. Originally a Soviet copy of a "Western" (no doubt Phillips) EL84. I've also been informed by a Russian acquaintance that most Russian people never cared for the 6p6s types and greatly preferred these noval base pentodes. As for sound? These are AWESOME. Great overdrive tubes, don't even waste time trying them in stereo or headphone amps -just pop it right into a guitar amp where it belongs. I don't own any of these right now but I've heard 2 original (1962) AC30 amps loaded with them and they sound better than the old Phillips types in those amps and I'm not exaggerating.
