Warranty Period: 3 monthsAll our tubes are guaranteed for 3 months from the date of purchase. (Any exceptions will be noted on that tube's Warranty tab)
If you receive a tube that does not perform to the manufacturer's specifications, please do the following:
- contact us to get a return authorization
- return it via regular mail within 90 days from when we shipped it, and we will provide an exchange or refund of the full purchase price of the tube.
Returns not related to warranty or defect will be considered at our discretion, and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
We can not accept returns that don't have an authorization, are past 3 month, or are returned improperly.

Great tube stock in classic 30 ii

Bought my peavey classic 30 ii new in 2014 and it came stock with jj's. Very warm sounding and gives a classic rock amp a great metal sound. The clean channel is very thick, full, bassy bottom end as with the gain channel. Great tube and I recommend it to any amp owner. My classic 30 will always have jj's in it.
agree with the less harmonic content

Just got some JJ tubes today. Used them in all three preamp stages in my jca2212c amp. They lost all harmonic content compared to the stock 12ax7-b that are in the amp. The upside is all harshness in the highs and lows was gone. Maybe not the greatest tube for modern high gain. I could see it having some good uses.

I replaced my original 12ax7 of my Peavey Ultra Plus 112 60W with these JJ ECC83-S tubes. Very happy with the result, for sure my old tubes was end of life, but this jj reborn my amp. A lot of good cleans and amazing gain. Blues to metal, anything you need.
King of Gain 80's Metal Tube

Tons of Gain Very thick mids and tight bass response. With all the gain available you will loose some note articulation and definition. Great for 80's Metal and distortion.
Great Tube in Phase Inverter socket

I've used the Tesla - now JJ ECC83S - in my Peavey Classic 30 V3 socket going on 15 years now. After buying a VHT Special 6 Ultra, I put this tube in right before the power tube and it sounds wonderful. For my personal taste, I love this tube. Focused, even and durable. If they keep making it like this I'll keep buying it and putting it right before the output section. (I tried it in the input sections (V1) and found it kinda flat and grainy to my ears.) Incidentally, I've bought all my JJs through thetubestore, happy with the service and quality. Thanks!
