The original Genalex Gold Lion ECC82 / B749 / 12AU7 is one of the most rare 12AU7 Tube Types ever made. This tube featured superb linearity and extremely low noise. The reissue Genalex Gold Lion ECC82 / B749 / 12AU7 preamp tube features gold plated pins and has been carefully engineered to recreate all of the attributes of the original. This tube is a premium replacement for all 12AU7, ECC82, 5814, and 6189 vacuum tube types.

Warranty Information and Return Policy

Warranty Period: 3 months

All our tubes are guaranteed for 3 months from the date of purchase. (Any exceptions will be noted on that tube's Warranty tab)

If you receive a tube that does not perform to the manufacturer's specifications, please do the following:

- contact us to get a return authorization
- return it via regular mail within 90 days from when we shipped it, and we will provide an exchange or refund of the full purchase price of the tube.

Returns not related to warranty or defect will be considered at our discretion, and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

We can not accept returns that don't have an authorization, are past 3 month, or are returned improperly.

Genalex - Gold Lion ECC82 / B749 | A giant step in the right direction

A small step forward in the tube domain is a giant step. So with that said, I was wanting to add some spice to a pair of Klark Teknik eqs to get them a little closer to my pultec EQP-1A. The stock tubes in the Klark were actually quite good (I was surprised), but the Gold Lions GL-ECC82 added extended lows that were a bit tighter, a more balanced mid section, and a little more air on top. The result was bigger, warmer, clearer sound...not by a lot, but a little goes a long way. Glad there is an alternative to the ridiculously priced NOS tubes.

The Yaqin MC13S amplifier is a clean enough Class A amp. The stock tubes are pretty Average. Dropped a balanced pair of these into the push-pull stage (with a pair of ECC83's). Never mind burning in - the whole amp just opened up. Keepers.

This tube blows away all the Nos I have, RCA,Westinghouse and Valvo. Better soundstage than any of them!
