Audible Illusions to Die For

Sprung for the Ultimate Audible Illusions retube package (Reflector 6H23P-EB vacuum tubes) and was blown away by the result. Normally the thrifty audioholic, this splurge paid off in spades. Properly warmed up we are talking natural instruments spaced three dimensionally across a holographic soundstage. Just do it should fortune allow.

OMG! These tubes are fantastic! I bought these 6h23EB tubes for my Audible Illusions M3B preamp. A big thank you goes out to the Tube Store for QUIET tubes. So dead silent in my phono section that I thought I was deaf. And the sound is to die for. Detailed, but not bright. Full bodied when it calls for it with a very wide soundstage. Even the line stage had me sitting up to take notice. My old tubes that came with the preamp(also 6h23EB) were 5 years old and starting to show their age with a little noise and brightness. You really don't know what is missing until you hear new tubes put in place of the old tubes. CDs once again become "decent." Dare I say almost "vinyl" like. And the vinyl sound now approaches reel to reel tape sound. There's a cohesiveness to the sound that's hard to describe--a wholeness. Clarity and punch without brightness. A natural feel to the music that's as it should be. Trust me when I say that these tubes are worth the extra coin. Way recommended!
