I've been using these in my Schiit Freya pre. Love them. Good, clear and well defined sound with a nice sounding base.

Northern Electric 6SN7-Great Choice
Just received a quad of these to use in my Yaqin MC-100B replacing four Electro Harmonix. Just plugged them in and couldn't be happier with the sound, even though the tubes are not broken. Smooth and an increased depth.

I'm running two of these as driver tubes in a KT150 SE UL amplifier. The 6SN7's triodes are run in parallel with each tube feeding it's own power tube. This 6SN7 sound is creamy smooth, very clear, very controlled from the deep bass to the airy highs. Physical appearance of this tube is outstanding. If something happened to these tubes I would weep, and order more.

Added tube processor (Yaqin CD3) to system (Perfect Wave DAC with Bridge 2; Rotel RB-1590 amp; B&W 803 D2). Was ok with stock tubes. Is fantastic with Northern Electric! Warm, open, natural, yet sharp. A clear SQ improvement. I'm really happy with these tubes!

I've been running four of these in the driver stage of my ASL Hurricanes for thousands of hours now, and they still sound (and test) fantastic. Smooth and neutral would be the way I'd describe them. Their great looks are an added bonus. I've rolled countless 6SN7's (incl. the famed TSRP's and Syl. Bad Boys), and these can easily go head to head with them. Also, theses are probably more accurate to the source.

Very, Very, Very Good Tube. Clear, natural sound. Every instrument has more space for individual dynamics. I installed them in a MingDa MD 845-A.

Being a past owner of two Supratek preamplifiers, I gainedsome experience with various 6SN7 tubes - old RCA tubes, brown based Sylvaniatubes, multiple 7N7 tubes used with adapters and, of course, the usual run ofthe mill new production Electro Harmonix and Tung-Sol tubes. The EH I foundvery harsh, the Tung Sol only slightly better. When I sold my last Supratek Ithought I was done with 6SN7 tube rolling... but I was wrong. I recentlypurchased a made-to-order preamp: fully balanced design with quality internalcomponent, etc. I was able to experiment with the few remaining NOS tubes thatI kept but did not like the results. Naturally, I was very curious to hear thenew Northern Electric 6SN7. My impression? This 6SN7 variant is a very quiet tube, with noticeably smoothersound than the other new production types I have and, let's face it, most ofthe NOS brands that I had tried. Compared to my NOS RCA 6SN7 tubes or the Sylvania7N7s, the Northern Electric tubes present with a rather well extended frequencyrange, with only a touch of dryness in the mid-frequencies. I had good resultsat either buffer or gain stages of the preamp. In short, there is simply nocomparison to the Electro Harmonix and TS. All in all, an excellent tube, with the added advantage of easily beingable to source matched tubes and triodes.

This is an Excellent tube. As a hard-core 6SN7 tube roller, I was shocked at how good these sound. In my Cary 300 SEI, unquestionably the best sounding "new" 6SN7 I've ever heard. Do not hesitate.

Lots of detail without any brightness and very musical and natural. I have always wanted to hear details, good left to right imaging, great front to back imaging and I got it in spades with these tubes. It sounds so good already it is almost beyond my comprehension.
