Great companion book to the Genalex specs & other 1950s books & magazines!
This is a reprint of a book from the end of the vac tube DIY era. As with everything from vacuum tubes to steam powered cars the end of the era for the technology is alos usually the zenith of the technology. The Williamson was dated by this time, and various new techniques for negative feedback were employed. All in all a very good book just to have on hand, and a nice information well to draw draw from when designing any audio amp, or even for modifications. It is $20 well spent. By 1959 AE magazine's content was less DIY projects, great technical articles & more product reviews & ads. This book is from that golden era. By the mid 1960s AE mag was hardly worth reading. Radio TV News, Popular Electronics, & a host of other magazines were a wealth of schematics & articles. By the 1970s it was mostly all solid sate projects.
